Background
Todays environment can feel isolating and selfish, and it may seem daunting to try to connect with others, let alone help others who may need it. Fortunately, volunteering is both an excellent outlet to both meet new people and an opportunity to help your fellow man. Volunteering provides a variety of benefits too: it acts as a space to meet with fellow service-minded people, it helps you build a stronger connection with your community, and it has been proven to improve your mental health. Personally, volunteering has been a core part of my life, and the lives of many others. To quote Aristotle - What is the essence of life? To serve others and to do good. (Circa 300 BCE)

Getting Involved
Getting involved in volunteering is as easy as you want it to be. Below are listed a few organizations you can sign up for on the web, and participate in their next events. Alternatively, you can look in your own community. Food banks, homeless shelters, charitable farms, and schools are all places that need as much help as they can get, and they are all designed for the most vulnerable of people, so they need your help. Try visiting some of these places or organizations and signing up for an event.
